International Piano Competition for participants up to the age of 16
Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte is an international piano competition for young talents up to the age of 16, held annually in the regional city of Ústí nad Labem since 1968. This prestigious event is not only a musical competition but also a key element in the development of young pianists.
Participants who succeed in this competition often highlight their victories in their professional resumes, helping to showcase the beauty of the Ústí Region to the world. The competition sees participants from 15 to 20 different countries, giving the event an international flavor. Our international guests, including ambassadors and consuls, are regular attendees, coming to support their fellow citizens.
An important part of Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte is also the live internet broadcast on the YouTube platform, accessible to viewers worldwide. This ensures that the beauty and talent of the competing pianists are available to a broader audience.

Conditions
The competition is divided into four categories:
I. Category for participants up to 9 years old
II. Category for participants aged 10 and 11
III. Category for participants aged 12 and 13
IV. Category for participants aged 14 and 15
The decisive date for placement in the respective categories is the participant's date of birth as of the day of the first round of the competition in the relevant yea
Organization, programm
The entire event will take place over three days. On the first day, there will be an opening concert featuring the previous overall winner accompanied by the North Bohemian Theatre Orchestra. The second day is scheduled for the first round of the competition, and the third day will host the second round, followed by the awards ceremony and winners' concert. Prizes will be presented by prominent figures from public and cultural life. The entire event will unfold on the stage of the North Bohemian Theatre.

The competition is judged by a seven-member international jury.
Main Prize for the overall winner of the competition:
30,000 CZK
Laureate of each individual category:
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.
The jury may also award honorable mentions.
Special Awards:
Prize for the most successful teacher in the Czech Republic.
Prize for the most successful participant from the Czech Republic.
Prize from the Governor of the Ústí Region for the interpretation of a contemporary composition.
Prize from the Mayor of the Statutory City of Ústí nad Labem.
Prize for the youngest participant of the competition.
The jury has the discretion to grant additional special awards.
