THE 7TH HONG KONG - MELBOURNE PACIFIC PIANO OPEN COMPETITION

Entries fee cannot be refunded or transferred.

Performers are encouraged to play from memory, but not necessary. Except class 9, 24 and 25 MUST performance from memory required.

Once the video recording has been uploaded, it cannot be changed.

Video recordings must be done in one complete take (no editing)

Video recordings must show the performer’s face.

Winning performances will be uploaded to East West Arts Association’s Facebook page.

Submitted video recordings must be uploaded to YouTube and made public with a link provided.

The Jury members decision is final.

Performer’s in the Prize Winner’s Concert must perform the same work as that in the video recording link.

Participation in the Prize Winner’s Concert’s are optional.

Prizes in the competition

The top 3 winners in each class will be invited to perform with Orchestra (live performance) on August 18, 2024 in Melbourne, Australia. If any of the top 3 winners in each class are unable to perform, then the next highest scoring performer will be invited. Contestants must submit a video recording performance (from memory) of one movement only, with piano accompaniment, or solo performance of the chosen concerto from the following repertoire list:

Haydn - Piano Concerto in F Major Hob.XVIII:3 (1st Movement)

Haydn - Piano Concerto in G Major Hob.XVIII:4 (1st Movement)

Haydn - Piano Concerto in D major Hob.XVIII:11(1st or 3rd Movement)

Junior Class - 13 years and under (born after 2011, June 30) @ HKD $1280

Senior Class - 18 years and under (born after 2006, June 30) @ HKD $1280
